If you are new to Weltrade, the platform question is simple: your Weltrade account runs on MetaTrader 5, usually shortened to MT5. There is no menu of platforms to compare, so the useful question is how to get comfortable with MT5 quickly. This guide walks through what MT5 does, which devices it runs on, and what to learn first. Reading time is about 6 minutes.
The short version
- Weltrade accounts trade on MetaTrader 5 (MT5), so you only need to learn one platform.
- MT5 runs on iOS, Android, Huawei, Windows, macOS and a browser based WebTerminal.
- Start on a demo account, learn the chart, the Market Watch list and the order window.
- Place small orders first and always set a stop loss.
Time needed: about 30 minutes to install MT5 and place your first demo trade.
Not available in: countries Weltrade restricts. Check its Restricted Jurisdictions page before you sign up.

What MetaTrader 5 Is and Why It Matters on Weltrade
MetaTrader 5 is a trading terminal made by MetaQuotes that many brokers license. It is the screen where you see prices, draw on charts, open and close trades and track your balance. Your broker supplies the prices and the account, and MT5 is the window you use to reach them.
On Weltrade, the platform is part of the account. When you open a real or demo account, you receive a login and trading password for MT5 and a server name that you enter in the terminal. Our Weltrade review covers the broker as a whole, and this guide stays focused on the platform itself.
What You Get With Weltrade MT5
According to Weltrade’s own MT5 page, the platform supports Expert Advisors for automated trading, a wide set of technical indicators and charting tools, one click trading, several order types, market depth, and a built in economic calendar. It lists 38 built in indicators.
Devices and access
- iOS: download MT5 for iPhone and iPad, which comes with the Weltrade Real and Demo servers preselected.
- Android: download MT5 for Android, also preselected with the Weltrade servers.
- Huawei: get MT5 on Huawei AppGallery.
- Windows: download the Weltrade MT5 installer for Windows for the full desktop terminal.
- macOS: download MT5 for Mac (a zipped package).
- WebTerminal: open MT5 in your browser without installing anything.
Instruments
Weltrade’s MT5 page says you can trade forex pairs, shares, indices, commodities and metals as CFDs, depending on your account type. The Weltrade SyntX synthetic instruments are also traded on MT5. Which instruments you can reach depends on the account, so read our Weltrade account types guide before choosing.
The MT5 Tools Beginners Should Learn First
MT5 looks crowded at first. You can ignore most of it for the first week. These are the parts that matter early:
- Market Watch: the list of instruments and live prices. Right click it to show or hide symbols.
- Chart window: change the timeframe, add indicators from the Insert menu and switch between candles and lines.
- Navigator: where your accounts, indicators and Expert Advisors live.
- Toolbox, Trade tab: your open positions with profit and loss in real time.
- Order window: opened with F9, where you set volume, stop loss and take profit.
Tip: keep your first charts clean. One or two indicators are plenty while you learn to read price. Check the economic calendar before trading around major news.
How to Get Started on Weltrade MT5 Step by Step
Step 1: Open an account
Register on Weltrade and choose an account type. Our step by step account opening guide shows each screen, and the minimum deposit guide explains how small you can start.
Step 2: Install MT5
Download MetaTrader 5 for your device using the links in the devices list above: Windows, macOS, Android, iOS or Huawei. Prefer to stay in a browser? Open the WebTerminal and log in from there. On mobile, the Android and iOS links preselect the Weltrade Real and Weltrade Demo servers, so you only need to enter your login. Only download trading platforms from links you trust, and never from a link a stranger sends you.
Step 3: Log in with your trading details
Enter your account number, your trading password and the Weltrade server shown on your account screen. The trading password is different from your website login.
Step 4: Practice on demo
Open a demo account first. Place a few trades with the smallest volume, move the stop loss, close the trade and read the result in the History tab.
Step 5: Go live with small size
When the order window feels natural, fund the account using one of the methods in our deposit and withdrawal guide and trade small. Treat your first live weeks as practice.
Common Problems and How to Fix Them
I cannot log in
Check that you are using the trading password and not the website password, and that the server name matches the one on your account screen exactly.
The symbol I want is missing
Open Market Watch, right click and choose Symbols to show it. Some instruments exist only on certain account types.
My trade closed by itself
This is usually a stop loss, take profit or a stop out because the account ran short of margin. Open the History tab to see which one it was, and reduce your trade size next time.
